This Exibition is dedicated to the deeper understanding of the Borobudur Peace Culture. Please look in the fotos, if you feel connected.
Sony Santosa has created Eloprogo Art Space to revitalize the local culture and as a dedication to his wife Betty who passed away 5 years ago.
Eloprogo is at the meeting point of Elo and Progo river from the direction of Mendut to Borobudur. Elo is the male river and Progo the feminine river. The cite has prehistorical roots manifesting in the two menhires above the river meeting place because of its strong spiritual energie.
Artists from the different arts like musik dance poetry theater and painting, sculptor as well as handcrafts are wellcome to share theire knowledge and stay in the place. Especialy on Vesak in April around 200 artists meet to a big gathering of art performances.

Therefore at the opening there wil be a public event space and the protected artshow place for special guests who realy want to see the paintings and visit Eloprogo Art Space.

Everywere wil be exposed art from different Artists like Yoyo’s Dreams, Anna’s Miniatures, Muritas Visions And And And … in the beautifull Buildings of EloProgo.

Sony is a wellknown artist of indonesia wich has also held many exibitions in Europe. He is helped by his friend Yoyo - also a painter- to have a good conection with the surounding peoples and visitors. Sony has build the different houses and stages of Eloprogo Art Space in 100 days as an exemple for village people how to build in a beautiful fantastic maner without spending a lot of money. Sony pays everything by selling his art. So the cultural center is totaly independent from any organisation.

Artist Yoyo by work for the Opening in the Gallery Space Eloprogo with her awesome painting of a dream.

During dry season Yoyo teches art classes for the children of the surrounding aera for free once a week. in the same time the lokal dance and musik teacher Lukman comes once a week to give traditional dance lessons to the children of Borobudur aera.
